What does blepharoplasty involve?
The intervention removes excess skin from the upper eyelids and/or fatty pockets from the lower eyelids. It opens up the eyes and erases signs of fatigue, without altering their natural expression.
How the intervention is performed
Performed under local anaesthesia with sedation, the intervention lasts between 45 minutes and 1h30 depending on the eyelids treated. Scars are hidden in the upper eyelid crease or just below the lashes, making them very discreet.
Recovery
Mild swelling and bruising are normal in the first few days and subside within 1 to 2 weeks. Most patients are ready to socialise within a week. The result — natural and long-lasting — becomes fully visible over the following weeks.
